How fitting that Inauguration Day should fall on Martin Luther King Day.  The grandchildren are home from school today.  I made Panettone French Toast and Bacon for Breakfast (recipe can be found in the recipe section). After breakfast we went into the living room to watch the inauguration day proceedings.  Watching Xan lay on the couch watching , and more importantly LISTENING to the speakers was awe inspiring.  The questions abounded and I am happy to say, she cannot wait to vote in three years.  Teaching her about our system of government is what it is all about.   Tried to see the statues from New York and South Dakota but could not.
