Fifteen years ago and February 1st, God gave me one of the greatest gifts of my life. Xan was born and stole my heart immediately. I was headed in one direction and the Lord sent me in another. Xan  glued a family that was in the middle of splitting apart.  Her uncles and aunt-to-be left the hospital and bought everything she needed to come home to.  I felt a little resentment because there was not much for me to do.  Aunt Kate orchestrated everything and the boys fell in line behind her. Aunt Kate knew what to buy, where to buy it, and got the Uncles to pay for it.   Those first few years were difficult with all the therapists coming to the house, all of us working shifts to care for Xan and loving every minute of it.   Xan is the initial light of my life.  She is leading the way, teaching her cousins how to be caring, loving, and compassionate people who are trying to follow her lighting up the world like dynamite!  Fifteen years ago I got one of the greatest gifts of my life, God saw fit to give me three more …… LM, Our Princess and The Peanut. I have always joked with my children and said “The only reason to have children is to have grandchildren”. There is a lot of truth to that.  Soon you will be meeting these other lights as their special days draw near.  The next one is Our Princess …… What a rip she is!!!!
