Tonight we went to Aunt Kate and Uncle Jason’s house.  Xan decided that after school today she would bake a chocolate cake to bring with us because “Aunt Kate’s great ….. she brings us Chocolate Cake.”  After dinner Xan and the Peanut frosted the cake with milk chocolate frosting.  We used a box cake mix and canned frosting.  As you can see the girls had a great time.  So did Grammie and Mama. Children are never to young to start cooking and baking.  The Peanut is only 22 months old and loves to cook in the kitchen with her mama.  Helping out in the kitchen helps children develop a palate.  They are much more willing to try foods that they have helped prepare.
