This recipe is a quick and easy, tasty dinner. My granddaughter, our Princess is Jewish and Grammie is trying to cook Kosher-like foods for her.
I had some left over turkey and drippings in the freezer. I used a package of frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, lima beans, and green beans). Since I cannot use butter to make a roux, I used some of the turkey fat. Melt the turkey fat in a saucepan and add enough flour to make a paste. Cook the roux a minute to cook out the raw flour taste. Add the turkey drippings and make a gravy. I add a little pepper, (no salt because of Xan’s diabetes insipidous) and minced dehydrated onion.
In a casserole add the cut up turkey and vegetables. Add the gravy and mix well. Cover with crescent rolls and bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes.
You don’t need to serve anything else with this complete meal.
